I love food: I love to talk about food, I love to make food and I love to eat food.
Let me tell you a little something else about me: I used to be a picky eater. I was the kid who ate plain pasta because I didn’t like sauce. Salad dressing? No thanks. Seafood? Nope. I might be the only child on the planet who didn’t like chocolate milk. But, as I got older my palate began to change and these days I will pretty much eat anything. I still have my weird dislikes (while I’ll eat sauce and salad dressing readily, I still don’t like chocolate milk) but my motto about food has completely changed: I will try anything once. The ‘problem’ is that many times I stick to what I know and like. I suppose many people to this day would call me a picky eater. I, however, believe that I am not picky, but particular.
And thus, the Particular Eater.
I like food that tastes good, that warms the soul and has ingredients I can pronounce or isn’t some form of entrails. Simple. Tasty. Non-pretentious (OK, maybe sometimes pretentious), and that’s what you’ll find here. Me, talking about tasty food, my (mis) adventures with making food and maybe some good feels along the way.
Do you ever feel like your whole day is spent planning your next meal? Do you ever eat something so delicious that taking the last bite makes you sad? Do your conversations seem to always revolve around food? Well, I have to say yes to all of the above. If you feel the same way, read on!
